Position Summary: Responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance and upkeep of cultivation activities and the daily oversight and training of cultivation technicians. Primary work duties include:
  • Plant care and maintenance, including but not limited to: Cloning, re-potting, watering, soil mixing, fertilizer mixing, pruning, trellising, scoutingfor pests/pathogens, treatment of pests/pathogens, and harvesting
  • Maintenance and monitoring of facility systems including but not limited to: Light, soil, water/fertility, and environmental management
  • Employee relations including but not limited to: Interviewing/hiring, employee training, staff scheduling, performance appraisals, leave requests, and time management
  • Provide guidance within the organization of work duties, provide directionon tasks to subordinates, and ensure work duties have been carried out appropriately Batching and plant inventory
  • Responsibility for plant health care and yields
  • Maintain adequate inventory of cultivation supplies and manage vendor relations
  • Cleaning work areas daily
  • Maintain Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program and perform necessary applications Data input/tracking in compliance software system(s)
  • Training of and adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Maintaining all production and maintenance logs
  • Attend and participate in meetings as required
  • Assist other departments as required
  • Ensure compliance to Federal, State, Local, and company regulations, policies, and procedures

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • 2+ years horticulture experience or extensive experience in legal, regulated cannabis cultivation
  • Previous experience/training with pesticides and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) preferred

  • Team oriented, with strong interpersonal skills (prior supervisory experiencepreferred)

  • Stand or be on their feet for extended periods of time and/or kneel repetitively throughout a workday (8-10 hours)
  • Have the physical ability to sit, squat, bend, lift, push, and/or pull 50 pounds
  • Possess clear close vision to be able to read gages, instrument panels, and computer screens
  • Able to use a ladder (up to 12 feet) and general hardware tools
  • Able to use a respirator
This position will be exposed to pollen, allergens, and chemical pesticides at the facility. As well as fumes, dust, odors, extreme heat temperatures, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, noise, protective gear, vibrations, and water.
